Upstate NY – Home of Christmas Trees
What do you do when a huge 78-foot-tall Norway Spruce becomes a potential hazard for your house? Who could remove this massive (it’s 47 feet in diameter and weighs in at 10 tons) from your backyard and most importantly, how much the removal would cost? Make your tax money work for you in a most elegant way by offering your unwanted tree to be placed in the middle of Manhattan as part of the annual Christmas decor. This is exactly what Albert Asendorf from Gardiner, NY in Upstate NY has done this year, as a result now we all can enjoy this beautiful giant in the middle of Manhattan. The land of the Christmas trees
So it appears that Gardiner, NY, situated at the foot of the Gunks mountains in Upstate New York, is the land of the Christmas trees this year. Have no doubts that they have more beautiful Christmas trees here ready for you every holiday season, and this season is not any different.
Check them out at the Wallkill View Farm Market near New Paltz. View Farm Market is one of our favorite place to get natural foods, fresh baked goodies and all sorts of seasonal plants, including Christmas trees.
Please don’t forget that they still have a lots of fresh apples and the cyder from the 2015 harvest.
They are also conveniently located on the road between New Paltz, with its delicious restaurants, and Minnewaska State Park. Find your Christmas tree at their place, so you can be proud that your tree came from the same place as the main tree of 2015 of New York City.
Be sure to find highest quality food and dining at New Paltz. One of our favorites for breakfast is Mud Puddle Caffe. They have great coffee, teas, crepes, omelets etc.
For the dinner time restaurant we highly recommend our favorite sushi place Hokkaido Sushi, known for their excellent fresh sushi, cozy atmosphere and top notch services.
Of course all season favorite of the area is Minnewaska State Park, and we are lucky this time of the year as the 60F will be following us the first half of the december according to the forecast
The water streams are crystal clear.
The colors are still amazing, biking, running and hiking is still in full swing, and on top of this, you can pick up your Christmas tree, all around one gorgeous place.
